He also requested an explanation for the extended periods of energy outages while presiding over a conference in Lahore on the power crisis.
Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal and State Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik were present during the meeting.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, a senior PML-N member, Information and Broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail, and PM’s Special Assistant on Public Policy and Strategic Communications Fahd Husain all joined the meeting via video link.
Senior members of the government who work in the energy sector also attended the meeting. The conference covered the country’s ongoing electrical crisis, and the premier commended the quick restart of all idled power facilities. The prime minister instructed the authorities to promptly submit to him a report on power disruptions that should explain their causes.
Additionally, PM Shehbaz commanded that problems with the provinces’ access to agricultural facilities and drinking water should be remedied as soon as possible.
