In response to the escalating crisis following U.S. strikes on Iran, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held an urgent consultation with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif to discuss the emerging regional situation.
According to party sources, the two leaders exchanged views on the potential implications of the U.S. attacks targeting Iranian nuclear facilities. The meeting underscored the need for a carefully calibrated diplomatic response amid rising tensions in the region.
Following the discussion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to strongly condemn the U.S. strikes and express Pakistan’s solidarity with Iran.
Sources confirmed that the conversation also included deliberations on the possibility of convening a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) to assess the evolving security landscape.

He noted that Pakistan is actively engaging with the international community to help reduce regional tensions.
