LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Sunday that it is the responsibility of the government save the law, Constitution and the system from paralysis.
In a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here at Raiwind, the prime minister said no one would be allowed to take law into their own hands on Nov 30. He said the people are now well aware of those who are serving them and those who are not serving them. He said the people of the country have rejected those who resort to sit-ins on every occasion.
Nawaz said law will take its course against those who take the law into their own hands.
The prime minister said the masses had given their verdict in the general elections of 2013 and those who have been rejected must wait for the next polls. He said the next elections would be held in 2018 and the PML-N government will fulfil all its promises with the masses.
Nawaz said ridding the people of the country from terrorism is the main priority of the government.
He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully against the terrorist elements. He said the success of the operation is the success of the whole nation. He said end of terrorism will bring prosperity in the country.
The premier said progress and development is the identity of the government and it will continue its journey. He said all the political parties should support the PML-N in this journey of development. INP
