PM reviews security situation; appreciates visible improvement in law and order

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired a high level meeting at PM House Islamabad Friday and reviewed the internal security situation of the country.

The Prime Minister appreciated Zarb-e-Azb operation and other actions and raids of the security forces in which large number of terrorists were killed and arrested. He said as a result of these operations, the law and order situation in the country has improved a lot.  He particularly mentioned the visible improvement in security in FATA, Karachi and Balochistan and said it was due to the firm commitment of the  leadership,sacrifices of the security forces and cooperation of the people at large.

The meeting was attended by Ch Nisar Ali Khan. Minister for Interior,  General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Advisor to PM on National Security, Mr. Tariq Fatemi, SAPM, Lt Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, DG ISPR and other senior officials of the Government. INP
