Saidu Sharif: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday said country is witnessing real change as a result of development schemes being implemented across the country.
Addressing a public meeting at Saidu Sharif he said nation-wide network of motorways and roads is being developed, which will serve as foundation of development.
Nawaz Sharif said the country has been put on the path of rapid development. The national economy has been strengthened and the foreign exchange reserves have reached the ever high level.
The Prime Minister said load-shedding will be overcome by 2018. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had claimed to build a new Pakistan, but it has failed in it.
The Prime Minister announced establishment of a women university and technical training institute in Swat and a campus of the university in Shangla. He said Saidu Sharif Airport will be reactivated and both domestic and international flights will be operated from it.
The Prime Minister also announced construction of four lanes expressway connecting Chakdara with Kalam. Swat will also be connected with China-Pakistan Economic Corridor by constructing road between Besham and Khwazakhela. This will have far reaching impacts on development of the area.
Earlier, the Prime Minister inaugurated a state-of-the-art Kidney Hospital in Swat. The 110-bed Nawaz Sharif Kidney Hospital has been completed at a cost of eight hundred million rupees.
The hospital has an OPD, two operation theatres, male and female wards, fourteen dialysis units, CT scan and other necessary facilities. The Hospital is the first of its kind in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Later, the Prime Minister inspected various sections of the hospital and talked to patients. He directed for laying a separate transmission line to ensure smooth power supply to the hospital.
