LAHORE : Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will not spare sugar mafia. Talking to media persons here in the provincial capital on Saturday, the minister said that enduring resolution of the issue of wheat and sugar is priority of the Prime Minister. He said those who are responsible of sugar crisis cannot escape from punishment. He said that hoarders are waiting for petroleum prices to increase. He said that there is no role of opposition in the country except “playing media-media.” “I had said that Tarzan [National Accountability Bureau] will make a comeback after Eid. Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Shehbaz Sharif hid himself in the back room of his house,” he said. Referring to a new picture of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, circulating on social media, Rashid said, “Having a walk and taking tea looks good in pictures only but it is actually very difficult to live abroad. Only former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif knows what he is going through. His ‘ring pistons’ have expired and engine has started smoking. Cases have piled up against him and his family will not getaway even in sugar case.” He said that Pakistan was made for the poor but the rich are getting all the benefits. The federal government will follow the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the Pakistan Steel Mills. He also announced to open all current booking offices of railways. In response to a question, he said India will receive a befitting response in case of resorting to any aggression against Pakistan.
