ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has said that Prime Minister never misused his powers during his tenure.
Talking to media after the hearing of the Panama case by the Supreme Court here she said that there are attempts every day for to unearth any proof against the prime minister. We had reservations against the Panama JIT before and we still have them now, she added.
Referring to chairman of PTI without name Maryam expressed concerns at the “mental health of the person sitting in Banigala. The man does not appear before the court to face the cases against him. Some people want to use clutches of the court to get to the corridors of power but they will not succeed, she added.
Maryam accused PTI of collecting foreign funds from the Jews and Hindus. The judiciary will reject the petition of those staging shows, she claimed.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will fight till end to uphold the sanctity of the mandate given to him by people of Pakistan. Those hatching conspiracies will not succeed.
Maryam also said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is contesting the case for supremacy of the law and the Constitution by presenting his family for accountability.
There was no allegation or case of corruption or misuse of authority against the Prime Minister. It is a case linked to the progress and prosperity of the country, implementation of CPEC, mandate of the electorate and elimination of terrorism, she added.
