ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is chairing second session of the apex committee meeting in Islamabad today (Thursday) to discuss progress on implementation of the National Action Plan against terrorism.

Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, chief ministers and governors of all four provinces, AJK Prime Minister Abdul Majeed, heads of intelligence agencies and Chairman NADRA are attending the meeting.

Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar chaired first session of the meeting and discussed matters pertaining to religious seminaries, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and the progress made on the National Plan of Action that was approved at the highest level to root out terrorism and bring peace in all parts of the country.

The participants agreed to all the proposals put forth by the Interior Minister regarding key issues including regularization of affairs of NGOs and uniformity in policies on arms licenses, bulletproof vehicles, and private security companies.
