ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday invited the Turkish investors to take benefit from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which would connect Pakistan’s port city Gwadar to China and Central Asia.

Addressing a Pak-Turk roundtable conference here along with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he said that $46 billion worth investment was coming to Pakistan under CPEC.

He said that the Turkish investors should also take benefit from the massive project by becoming a part of it.

He expressed hope that such conferences would expand economic relations and are beneficial for both countries, adding that investors in Pakistan were being provided many concessions.

‘By attending the conference, the Turkish investors have expressed confidence in the economic policies of Pakistan’, he added.

He further said that the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and his team have worked very hard for economic stability in the country.

On this occasion, Turkish President Erdogan said that his country would expand ties in economic and all other sectors with Pakistan, adding that CPEC was a significant project for regional development. INP
