ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday has launched bid to iron out differences between the federal ministers emerged during the federal cabinet meeting. According to sources, the prime minister held separate meetings with federal ministers. Those who held meetings with Imran Khan include Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Asad Umar. During the meetings, the prime minister discussed the disorder and heat during the federal cabinet meeting. On the occasion, Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi apprised the premier on their respective positions and offered explanations. It is pertinent here to mention that on Tuesday, PM Imran directed members of the federal cabinet not to issue controversial statement. Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar raised the issue of Fawad Chaudhry s statement before the prime minister. Khan directed the cabinet members to exercise caution and maintain unity. Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda openly criticized the policies of Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Division Nadeem Babar and said that people were conspiring from within the cabinet. “There is a game being played here and we cannot sit silent,” he said. Vawda said that people think that they have become the prime minister.
