ISLAMABAD : Taking into account recent efforts to stoke violence in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that entire nation is united against the cowardly acts of the enemy. The Prime Minister was talking to Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa who called on him here on Thursday. They discussed professional matters pertaining to the Pakistan Army as well as internal and external security situation. The Prime Minister paid tributes to personnel of Pakistan Army, Frontier Constabulary (FC) and other law enforcement agencies, who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the motherland.
The meeting come couple of days after a bomb ripped through a seminary in Peshawar, killing at least eight and injuring more than 1o0 others. Visiting the injured on Wednesday last, the Army Chief said whether it was the APS attack of 2014 or the latest seminary bombing, the enemy is the same. Although the Army Chief did not name the enemy, Advisor to PM on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf revealed in a recent interview to an Indian journalist that the mastermind of the APS attack had been in contact with an Indian consulate in Afghanistan throughout the methodical killings of schoolchildren.
