ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday strongly condemned the tragic incident of indiscriminate firing targeting innocent labourers working on a road in Gwadar’s Pishgan area.
In a statement, the Prime Minister expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in the incident. While directing the relevant authorities at the federal and provincial levels to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to task, the Prime Minister said, “All efforts will be made to maintain peace in the Province at all cost.”
“We will ensure all necessary measures to fully realize our dream of a developed and prosperous Balochistan Insha Allah,” he said.
The Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss.
Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned the attack saying, “Terrorism was not acceptable in any form or colour and those taking guns against fellow citizens are unpardonable.”
He said, “PPP’s stance was clear on terrorism from the day one when some people were begging mercy from terrorists and others were suggesting opening their offices in the country.”
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed solidarity with the victims’ families and demanded compensations from both Federal and Balochistan governments. NNI
