LAHORE: A petition on Tuesday filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeks ban on Indian movies in Pakistan cinemas till resolution of Kashmir issue.
The plea filed by advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhary took the stance that Indian forces have started a brutal oppression in occupied Kashmir while Pakistani cinemas are promoting their movies.
Further more, the petition stated that government is adopting a dual policy in favor of Kashmir while exhibiting Indian movies which is against the law. Indian movies cannot be exhibited in the country in any case.
Hence, to show solidarity with the innocent citizens of Kashmir, the applicant pleaded to ban Indian movies till the resolution of Kashmir.
The court summoned notification from the censor board in the next week.
