PESHAWAR, Aug 8 (INP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan has said that security of the country, stability, prosperity and development of the nation and ensuring better future for the coming generations is the supreme cherished objective of all of us and we will inshAllah spare no efforts to materialize them.
He was talking during a briefing on progress of Zarb e Azb at Army Div Headquarter at Miranshah; the Agency Headquarter of North Waziristan on Friday, wherein, Operation Commander of Zarb Azb, Maj. Gen. Zafarullah Khan briefed the Governor on advancements, successes and future targets of the Operation. The Governor also visited Miranshah Bazar and met with the soldiers on this occasion.
MNA from North Waziristan Agency, Haji Muhammad Nazir Khan, Chief Secretary, Amjad Ali Khan, Additional Chief Secretary, FATA, Arbab Muhammad Arif and the Political Agent of the Agency, Siraj Ahmad Khan accompanied the Governor. It merits a mention here that this was the first ever visit of any political figure of the country to North Waziristan Agency since the start of Zarb Azab.
The Governor further observed, “Beyond doubt, immortal sacrifices being rendered by the jawans and officers of the Pak Army are the precious treasure of our national history and we would always feel proud of it”. “We also salute the mothers of our jawans and officers whose scions are facing difficult circumstances with courage and offering sacrifices with exemplary spirit in our struggle for making security of the country impregnable and ensuring better future for the coming generations. We all, he further said, are earnestly desirous to witness a smooth and congenial atmosphere within the agency like elsewhere of FATA at the earliest possible time so as the displaced tribes are enabled to return their home places with honour and dignity and join hands for over all development and prosperity of the nation.
Talking on various aspects of the government’s strategies, the Governor said, Inshaullah there will be no dearth of resources, as far as taking care of the IDPs and their rehabilitation in their respective areas is concerned. The Governor also paid rich tributes to the Pak Army for its valuable services and material contribution in taking care of the IDPs too alongside continuing the Zarb e Azb successfully. The day, he added, is not far away when complete peace and normalcy will be restored in North Waziristan Agency like elsewhere in FATA and we all would join hands to wage afresh struggle not only for rehabilitation and development of this agency but the rest of the FATA too like elsewhere in the country.
Later on while talking to army soldiers during his visit to Miranshah Bazar, the Governor said that their spirit of courage and sacrifice deserve rich tributes of the nation which are fully acknowledged. In fact, he added, almost the last decade is the unique chapter of our national history wherein besides more than four thousands soldiers and officers of Pak Army, thousands civilians also embraced martyrdom in our struggle for ensuring security and stability of our beloved motherland.
