KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Parliamentarians MNAs Ejaz Jakhrani, Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MPAs Dr Sohrab Khan Serki and Abdul Sattar Rajpar said the IMF is in actual the ruling party in Pakistan while the PMLN’s government in centre is its facilitator.

The incumbent PMLN’s government in centre had mortgaged the country to the IMF and on IMF’s dictation is selling the strategic national institutions to blue-eyed and thus a loot-sale is at its apex in Pakistan.

The PMLN’s federal government is at one hand trumpeting for the supremacy of the Parliament but at the other, insulting and suppressing the Parliament’s supremacy through the promulgation of Presidential Ordinance for the privatisation of Pakistan’s most strategic national institution, PIA, on IMF’s dictation.

In a statement issued from the PPP Media Cell Sindh, the PPP Parliamentarians said that the PMLN’s federal government has all in all insulted the Parliament and the elected representatives of the people.

The federal government has put the country’s sovereignty and integrity and nation’s prestige on stake through the Presidential Ordinance for selling the national strategic institutions to blue-eyed investors that have the blessings of the IMF and enemies of Pakistan.

It is now open that the PMLN’s federal government could go beyond limits to implement the nefarious agenda of the IMF.

They said that the policies of the PMLN would destroy the country and they should bear in mind that as the entire nation and the Pak Army are on a same page against terrorism, they would also remain united against this economic terrorism of the PMLN and contrary to past, PMLN leadership would not be allowed to leave the country at all cost. No airport and no plane would be available for them to transport them abroad and the nation would also not allow Arab princes to intervene this time.

The PPP Parliamentarian said that the PMLN’s federal government is duping the people by assuring them that after privatisation of PIA, no retrenchments would take place. This is absolutely a fraud as same was also assured at the time of privatisation of PTCL and Karachi Electric and around 8, 000 employees were removed from the Karachi Electric.

The Karachi Electric committed crime against people of the country and committed their economic genocide under the aegis of the government.

They said the same would also apply on the employees of PIA and the employees and the people of the country are now well aware of tactic of the federal government.

They warned the federal government of extreme protest on government’s steps towards privatisaion of PIA and other national strategic institutions. NNI
