ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Wednesday said IMF is conspiring against Pakistan to fulfil unholy design of US to strip country of its nuclear assets. America wants Pakistan to rollback its nuclear programme, change policy towards China to destabilise it and accept dominance of India,it said.

US is not in favour of military action therefore it is using IMF as a tool to put Pakistan under unmanageable debt burden so that it accept directives against national interests for the sake of survival, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.

He said that exports are falling, remittances aren’t enough to cover imports, price of energy and theft is increasing, LNG project is in doldrums, coal is being discouraged to keep oil import bill up, dams have been made controversial, and a country has been tasked to damage economic corridor.

This situation has led country to a position where is cannot retire debt and fail to meet IMF criteria but waivers are being granted and more loans are provided while economic success is being praised to deceive masses, he added.

Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that IMF plans to push Pakistan into a situation where it cannot even thing of refusing to any American order to help implement her agenda without any opposition.
