PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has dismissed a sedition case against PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz’s husband Capt ® Safdar Mehmood.

The Peshawar High Court on Wednesday announced its reserved judgement throwing out sedition case against Capt ® Safdar.

The case was heard by Justice Lal Jan Khattak and Justice Musarrat Halali. The bench reserved its verdict after hearing arguments by the parties involved. The sedition case was registered against Capt ® Safdar for uttering a tirade against the state institutions.

After getting a favourable decision, Capt ® Safdar said that he has been coming to the court here for three years. If somebody wants to see justice, then he should come to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa court, he added.
