ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid Sunday strongly rebutted rumours about abolishment of wheat subsidy for Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
The minister, in a statement, said these baseless rumours were being spread by some elements to get votes in the Gilgit Baltistan.
The Federal Government, he said, would continue wheat subsidy for Gilgit Baltistan and for the purpose it had allocated Rs 6.045 billion in the budget 2015-16.
Meanwhile, address a ceremony at the residence of Swedish Ambassador inIslamabad on National Day celebrations of Sweden, Pervaiz Rashid also invited Swedish investors and businessmen to invest in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure projects.
Pervaiz Rashid said both the countries have cooperated and extended support to each other at various international fora on issues of mutual interest. He said we look forward to continue this cooperation in future as well. NNI
