LAHORE: The chief minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, said that the federal government did not assist the Punjab flood victims and had not provided even a single cent for their rehabilitation.
Rashid Bukhari, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Texas, presented the chief minister of Punjab with a cheque for Rs 30 lakh to be placed in the flood relief fund on Monday at a meeting with Pakistanis living abroad.
Additionally, the Chief Minister’s Flood Relief Fund received checks from abroad Pakistani Shahid Butt and Irshad B. Anjum, General Manager of Faletti’s Hotel, totaling the amount declared during the telethon .Pervaiz Elahi expressed his admiration for the abroad Pakistanis’ commitment to aiding flood victims at the time.
Furthermore, he expressed dissatisfaction over the federal government’s indifference to Punjab’s flood victims, adding that it is unfortunate that the federal government did not offer any assistance to the flood victims in Punjab.In every sense, he argued, the federal government’s actions are unfortunate and deplorable.
