ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has warned PTI and PAT protesters against breaching the Red Zone area in Islamabad. He said such an attempt will deteriorate the already tense situation.

In a statement, he said the government had conceded to the PTI Chief’s demand of vote audit in ten constituencies but Imran Khan himself backed out of the talks. Pervaiz Rashid said that government will review the demands of PTI and PAT within provisions stipulated by the constitution. He said the court never asked anybody to tender resignation.

Answering a question, the information minister said that Pakistan Army stands with constitution of the country. Chief Commissioner Islamabad has also asked PTI to honour the commitment made by them not to enter the Red Zone. In a letter to PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the Chief Commissioner said a written agreement is available with the capital administration.
