imranUrges CJP to take notice of police crackdown

JHANG: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said that tyrants will be oppressing the common people, as long as they do not stand up for their rights,.

Addressing the flood-affectees here on Monday, Imran Khan said that until a common man will not raise voice for his rights, the mighty will be exploiting him. He alleged that the Athara Hazari protective dyke was not blown in order to save Sharif brothers’ sugar mills, due to which the people of the Jhang had to suffer from great damages.

The PTI chief said that the Sharif brothers plunder the national wealth, whenever they come into power.

He said if the protective dykes were repaired, then so many people would not have been affected by floods.

Imran Khan said that a true fight for the rights of the people is continued in Islamabad, adding that we have not forgotten the flood-victims and will go up to any extent for their rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan Monday called upon Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasir-ul Mulk to take suo motto notice of ongoing police crackdown on peaceful protesters.

Addressing his supporters on 33rd day of Azadi March, Khan pledged that there would be no violence from either his supporters or those being led by Allama Tahir ul Qadri.

“I have talked to Allama Qadri, who has assured that peaceful protests will continue till Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigns,” he said.

Khan said he visited flood-hit areas of Jhang, where people chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. “Nawaz Sharif is going to lose this match soon. He is tacking decisions based on fear.”

He again turned his gun toward former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, calling him ‘Mir Jafar’ of judiciary. “Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch also won the elections through rigging,” he alleged.

Khan urged his supporters to prepare themselves to put up a good show on coming Friday.Agencies
