PEMRA asks TV channels to contain excessive foreign content

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has asked TV channels to contain excessive foreign content, and dramatization of crimes on Tuesday.

Chairpersons and members of PEMRA Councils of Complaints, during their first joint meeting with Chairman PEMRA Absar Alam, denounced glorification of crimes and gory scenes on media.

The meeting decided to put control on re-enactment and crime shows, which are indirectly promoting the crimes in the society.  NNI
