PBM empowering women through vocational training: MD Pak Baitul Mall

ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (INP): Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh has said that PBM is taking concrete steps for empowering women of the country by equipping them with the vocational training of modern era.

He was addressing to the Certificate Distribution Ceremony of “Training of Trainers” workshop, which was organized for the Instructors of Vocational Training/ Women Development & Empowerment Centres of PBM. Minister Counselor of European Union Bernard Francois, Dy. MD PBM, M. Aslam Chaudhry, Chief Operating Officer DTCE, Azhar Bashir Malik and DG Sports Board Dr. Akhtar Nawaz were also present in the ceremony.

MD PBM said that as the revamping process of Vocational Training Centres is on the way, this refresher course will play a vital role in capacity building of the participants. He further highlighted that PBM is leading the destitute women of the country towards self-sufficiency with the help of traditional and modern technical training in its 158 vocational training schools throughout the country. Talking on this occasion,

Dy. MD PBM M. Aslam Chaudhry expressed his gratitude to School of Fashion Designing, DTCE and all other organizations for supporting PBM to organize this training workshop. He also told that at the moment 60 centres are selected for training in first phase while remaining centres will also be accommodated in coming days. Certificates were also awarded to the instructors who completed the training successfully.
