ISLAMABAD: Chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahirul Qadri has alleged that iron fence of the Parliament House is more sacred for the sitting rulers than the human lives.
Addressing the participants of Inqilab March here on Friday, Qadri said that his supporters had taken shelter in the Parliament to save their lives after police resorted to teargas shelling.
As per Islamic teachings and rule of any country, a human life is more precious than anything else, he emphasized.
The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader said that his workers were beaten up in Islamabad following Model Town tragedy.
He said that rulers had eaten out Rs5, 000 billion in just one year.
The government was presenting bogus economic figures in the parliament, he alleged.
Qadri was of view that building roads or bridges could not be termed economic progress unless people’s lives were changed. INP
