ISLAMABAD: Rich tributes were paid to the senior scientists and other employees of the Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC) who retired from the organization recently. The Directorate of Public Relations and Protocol organized a reception at the PARC headquarters here to pay tributes to the retired employees, who were also given away shields to honour them.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman PARC, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad said that the retired employees were asset of the organization and expressed the hope that they would continue their contributions for the development of agriculture sector. He said that promotion of agriculture research was the main aim of the PARC to ensure food security and healthy nutritious food for all.
He said that the council has recently promoted about fifty seven employees, expressing the hope that they would help development of agriculture sector and replace those who have retired from the organization. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad said that the scientists of the council were rigorously working for the promotion of agriculture and so was the role of the retiring scientists.
In his welcome address, Director Public Relations and Protocol, PARC, Sardar Ghulam Mustafa paid rich tributes to the retired employees, saying that they have given precious years of their life to this organization for the promotion of agriculture research. “We must salute these people who have given their time and resources to this organization for the promotion of agriculture sector,” he said.
Chairman PARC also gave away shields to the retired employees to honour them.
