ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto has held important meetings in Washington, London and Brussels to highlight Pakistan’s peace policy in response to Indian aggression.
On the instructions of the Prime Minister, a high-level multi-party delegation of Pakistan is visiting New York, Washington DC, London and Brussels. The delegation is being led by Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
The visiting Pakistani delegation includes Minister for Climate Change Dr. Mosaddiq Masood Malik, Senator Sherry Rehman and Hina Rabbani Khar. In addition, Khurram Dastgir Khan, Faisal Sabzwari, Bushra Anjum Butt and former Foreign Secretaries Jalil Abbas Jilani and Tehmina Janjua are also part of the delegation.
It should be noted that another high-level delegation led by Syed Tariq Fatemi will leave for Moscow.
The aim of these visits is to highlight Pakistan’s position on the global stage in the context of Indian aggression. The delegations will highlight Pakistan’s responsible and peaceful policy before the world.
A just solution to the Kashmir issue is among Pakistan’s priorities in line with UN resolutions. Similarly, emphasis will be placed on the immediate restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty and restoration of normalcy.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the delegations will meet international organizations, authorities, think tanks, media and diaspora.
