ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s largest talent hunt contest has announced the semi-finalists for the Unilever Talent Hunt (UTH) 2015, Country’s largest talent hunt program. A total of thirteen (13) teams have been finalized for the second round of the competition, who will compete against each other for the chance to represent Pakistan at the global finale in London.

In 2015, UTH reached out to 5,500 students across leading universities, with 900 teams registering for the contest. The teams selected for the semi-finalists represent a host of Pakistan’s leading universities including NUST, GIKI, IBA, LUMS and IoBM. These teams will be working on a number of business cases provided by six of Unilever Pakistan’s leading brands, including Sunsilk, Fair & Lovely, Lifebuoy, Knorr, Domex and Surf Excel. These teams are being provided resources and mentoring by Unilever brand teams as they develop their entries for the finale, to be held in Karachi in January 2016.

Shafaq Omar, Director Human Resources, Unilever Pakistan, highlighted, “The Unilever Talent Hunt aims to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their academic and strategic acumen whilst helping Unilever build a stronger affiliation with some of the best educational institutes in the country.”

The winners of the Pakistan leg will also get direct access to the Unilever Future Leaders Program (UFLP) Assessment Center, which is a first step towards employment as a Management Trainee at Unilever in Pakistan.

The Unilever Talent Hunt has been built around Unilever’s sustainability agenda — the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP) — which aims to create awareness on social needs. It encourages students to learn about, and solve real-life problems, as well as contribute towards making sustainable living commonplace. NNI
