Pakistani troops leave for CAR on peace keeping mission

RAWALPINDI (INP): First batch of 1100 Pakistani peace keepers left for Benguai, Central African Republic (CAR) to be part of newly established UN peace keeping mission Multidimensional integrated stabilization in CAR (MINUSCA) to restore peace in one of the most fragile state of Africa.

Selection of Pakistani troops for UN first mission in CAR shows UN confidence on Pakistan Army and Pakistan’s commitment for international peace and security.

It is worth mentioning that Pakistan is one of the leading troop contributor in the UN with 8000 troops.  Pakistan Army has been part of 41 UN peace keeping missions in 24 countries across the globe so far.
