DHAKA, BANGLADESH: A Pakistani trade delegation led by the FPCCI President visited Bangladesh after 12 years, where emphasis was placed on increasing bilateral economic ties and investment.
According to a statement issued by the FPCCI, the Pakistani trade delegation led by President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh met Bangladesh Commerce Minister Sheikh Bashiruddin and the Pakistani delegation stressed on increasing economic ties and investment between the two brotherly countries.
President FPCCI Atif Ikram Sheikh said that this is the beginning of a new era, we will stand with Bangladesh at every opportunity of trial, the Bangladeshi Commerce Minister has announced to prioritize trade relations with Pakistan.
Senior Vice President FPCCI Saqib Fayyaz Mago said that Bangladesh welcomes the relaxation of visa conditions for Pakistanis, and long-term visas should be given to the Pakistani business community.
He said that Pakistan has also relaxed visa conditions for Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Commerce Minister Sheikh Bashiruddin said that they will work with Pakistan to explore economic, financial, investment, industrial, business and trade opportunities.
Speaking about the meeting with the Pakistani delegation, he said that there has been an agreement to increase mutual trade and Pakistani companies will be encouraged.
The meeting was specially attended by Pakistani High Commissioner to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maroof.
