MUZAFFARABAD, Nov 21 (INP): Indian troops resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) at Pandu sector near Muzaffarabad on Thursday evening.
A Pakistan army soldier was martyred in the Indian firing, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Pakistani troops befittingly responded to Indian firing.
Pakistan on Friday lodged protest with India over unprovoked firing and mortar shelling by its forces in Pandu Sector across the Line of Control (LoC) Thursday.
A soldier of Pakistan Army, Sepoy Zahid Ali, had embraced Shahadat due to multiple mortar splinter injuries.
Condemning the incident, Pakistan has called upon India to restrain its security forces from unprovoked firing and shelling across the LoC and the working boundary.
The Government of Pakistan has also offered its condolences to the bereaved family of the Shaheed soldier.
