NEW YORK: Pakistani American Think Tank organized an event in New York to discuss political situation in Karachi following Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s anti-Pakistan speech.
Journalists, doctors, scholars and businessmen attended the event.
Expressing serious reservations over Altaf’s remarks, Pakistani Americans asked the Pakistani government to take strict notice of the statements made by the exiled leader of the MQM.
Some participants stated that Altaf Hussain has ‘hammered the final nail in his coffin after seeking help from Israel.’
Statement against the institutions can be tolerated but there is no room for anti-state remarks, they stressed. The group also demanded immediate ban on Altaf’s speeches.
