CRICKET-UAE-PAK-NZLLINCOLN (New Zealand): Pakistan lost its second tour game against New Zealand Board President’s XI by one wicket as Kiwi opener MA Pollard made 153 runs off 132 deliveries helping the Black Caps reach their target on the penultimate ball of the innings.

Batting first after winning the toss, Pakistan scored 267 for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs.

Pakistan’s top-order failed once again and the team managed to score only 53 for the loss of four wickets.

Green-shirts captain Misbah-ul-Haq was the top scorer scoring 88 runs off 89 deliveries wile Umar Akmal score 77 off 82 balls.

Shoaib Maqsood scored 25 runs, Bilawal Bhatti scored 23 runs while the Kiwis also gave away 23 runs in Extras.

MA Pollard was the highest scorer of the match with 153 runs while the rest of the team failed to make a significant contribution.

The middle and lower order chipped in the last few runs crossing the target on the fifth delivery of the last over.

This is the second consecutive defeat suffered by the Pakistan team. Earlier on Jan 25, New Zealand Board President’s XI had managed to secure a six-wicket victory as the Green-shirts faltered in defending a total of 313.

Captain Misbah, returning from a hamstring injury, was also the highest scoring batsman in the first match with 107 runs.
