Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), criticized the Sharif and Bhutto families, calling them “slaves and boot polishers” and holding them accountable for the nation’s economic woes.
“I want to know how Pakistan’s institutions allowed these thieves to be thrust onto us. Is Pakistan not your country? Don’t you realize that the country is ruined when thieves are put in charge of the treasury? he questioned while addressing his party’s power show at Islamabad’s Parade Ground.
The PTI chairman claimed that the military establishment and the judiciary would both have to answer to God for their actions. God will question judges, “I gave you status to establish justice; did you do that or not, and did you?”You defend the weak from the strong; did you also put the strong under the law or not? said he. God will also question the neutrals about how they permitted these robbers to rule this nation, he continued.
