ISLAMABAD, Oct 31 (INP): Chairman Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari has said that Pakistan and Republic of Belarus enjoy cordial relations and are keen to further improve them, especially in the field of trade, export and parliamentary interaction.
He stated this during his meeting with Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Dr. Andrei G. Ermolovich who paid a courtesy call on Awais Leghari here on Friday.
Leghari in his welcoming remarks appreciated the warm regards shown by the people of Belarus to the people of Pakistan. He invited the ambassador to explore mutual opportunities in the fields of trade, export and manufacturing.
Ambassador Dr. Andrei G. Ermolovich while thanking for the hospitality requested the National Assembly Secretariat to initiate Parliamentary Friendship Group between the two national assemblies.
He appreciated the role Pakistan is playing in the regional stability, especially in the wake of US withdrawal from Afghanistan. The deputy foreign minister of Belarus will visit Pakistan in mid-November to improve the bilateral relations between the two countries, the ambassador informed.
The meeting concluded with the mutual agreement to further expand bilateral relations in diverse fields.
