London: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan’s economic recovery has become a reality and not just reforms but Pakistan is completely transforming itself.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance, while addressing global investors in London, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that the economy has improved, there is a primary budget surplus of Rs 3.6 trillion, a current account surplus and inflation in April has come down to 0.3%.
He said that Pakistan is moving towards sustainable growth based on exports and production.
He said that real estate, retail and agricultural sectors are being brought into the tax net, work is also underway on the complete digitalization of the FBR.
The Federal Finance Minister said that by 2028, copper exports are expected to reach $ 2.8 billion annually, Pakistan has become the third largest country in the world in IT freelancing, work is underway on an effective strategy for panda bonds and loans.
He said that the suspension of water rights is unacceptable for Pakistan, the Benazir Income Support Program will continue.
