SWAT: Building momentum ahead of his Azadi March next week, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan vowed on Thursday that monarchy will be replaced with real democracy.

Imran Khan, who is vigorously pursuing his anti-government campaign, is determined to bring about ‘revolution’ through the massive protest rally on August 14 in Islamabad seeking resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and fresh elections.

“We are left with no other option but to come out on roads till we get justice… We are going to snatch back our independence which our ancestors acquired by their sacrifice,” said Imran Khan while addressing his supporters at an inauguration ceremony of a micro hydel power plant in Matta Town of Swat.

“Current rulers are kings. They are businessmen, prospering themselves whereas masses are dying of poverty and starvation. We are going to change the entire obsolete system on the Independence Day which will herald a new era of true democracy and a county free of monarchy,” he vowed.

The PTI chief said his party’s government would refurbish hospitals, schools in KP and bring investment in the province.

He said the federal government was busy in Metro Bus projects while the people were suffering due to excessive loadshedding. He said ending of loadshedding was the responsibility of the federal government. He said the people of KP were being provided their own cheap electricity on very higher prices. INP
