Pakistan, Egypt relations time-tested: Defence Minister

ISLAMABAD (DNA) : Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said Pakistan and Egypt enjoy excellent relations, which have grown manifold in all fields over the years.

He expressed these views while addressing on the occasion of armed forces day function held at a local hotel.

The Defence Minister further said Pakistan, Egypt relationship was not only time-tested but had survived all vicissitudes adding the way both countries were making strides in the fields of economy and trade augurs well for both these countries and the Muslim ummah as well.

He further said, Pakistan looks forward to enhance cooperation with Egypt in all fields. He particularly mentioned cooperation in the energy sector adding there existed a wide scope and both countries should exploit each other’s experience.

The Egyptian defence attaché also spoke on the occasion and gave a brief account of relations between the two counties. He said both countries are keen to give new dimension to their relations in the defence field.
