ISLAMABAD, May 18 (INP) Pakistan has condemned the drone attack resulting in a number of casualties in the Mana area of North Waziristan Agency on May 16, 2015.
In a statement in Islamabad Monday, a spokesperson of the Foreign Office said such strikes are a clear violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He said these generate distrust among the local populace at a time when Operation Zarb-e-Azab is moving ahead decisively and the focus of the Government is shifting towards rehabilitation of the civilian population.
The spokesman reiterated the call for a cessation of such strikes.
