ISLAMABAD: Renowned nuclear scientist, who is considered father of Pakistan’s nuclear programme, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan said that top class missile technology gives Pakistan great deterrence power and India is well aware from this fact that in case of any misadventure Pakistan has the ability to target major Indian cities in few minutes. He said this while talking in an exclusive interview with Editor in Chief Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman Roze News Sardar Khan Niazi in Roze News renowned talk show ‘Sachi Baat’, he said Pakistan has the ability to target New Delhi in less than five minutes.
He further said that Pakistan’s atomic programme was developed to make country’s defence impregnable. It is a guarantee for peace in South Asia. This programme created balance of power, which was necessary to make this region safe. Answering a question he said that people of Pakistan have huge respect for him and no other reward could be bigger than love and affection of people. While talking about former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Dr. Abdul Qadeer said that cases against him seem politically motivated and it is a dilemma to use wrong use of power to suppress political opponents. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he has huge respect for Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and he believes that he was not given due respect which he deserves, “Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan is a real hero and asset of Pakistan” he added.
While talking about Ahsan Iqbal, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan said that Ahsan Iqbal is a self claimed professor, once I gave him proposal to construct a University but he did not bother to reply back. He further said that Sadiq ul Farooq of PMLN allegedly minted 20 million rupees from him and he wrote to then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, but no action was taken against Farooq.
Dr. Adbul Qadeer appreciated renowned journalist Sardar Khan Niazi for allotting him land to construct a hospital for welfare of people, he said that hospital which is constructed in Bani Gala has treated millions of people free of cost.
