Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram has said that Pakistan emerged as a nuclear power on May 28, this day is not the domain of any one political party.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, he said that this day is a day to pay tribute to all the scientists and those who participated in it, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and dozens of scientists have worked for decades to make Pakistan a nuclear power, we pay tribute to all these people.
Sheikh Waqas Akram said that we as a party salute all these heroes, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was forced to come on TV and apologize, the founder of PTI was the only leader who condemned it, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan was our national hero, is and will remain.
He said that any press conference is incomplete without mentioning the 26th Amendment, justice has become unachievable, the judicial process is slow, the 26th Amendment is the grave of the Constitution and is a clear proof of the helplessness of the judiciary, these amendments are against the principles of the Constitution, the decisions on the appointment of judges are controversial, justice is being stolen, we have to protest to get the case of the founder of PTI filed.
Sheikh Waqas Akram said that the members of the provincial assemblies of Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the members of the National Assembly, protested for the hearing of the cases of the founder of PTI, the acting Chief Justice promised us but the promise was not kept, there is no respect for the member of parliament, we have to rot in the heat to get justice.
He said that our leader is unjustly imprisoned, if the cases are to be heard, will the opposition of the entire country have to protest for this? The judiciary has become helpless in Pakistan.
He said that people are talking about the situation of the judiciary in Pakistan all over the world, we only want the release of our leader, this nation has just fought a war and defeated an enemy many times bigger than itself, Modi is a vile person, the founder of PTI has repeatedly said that Modi is a vile person and he will do this again.
Sheikh Waqas said that our property, life and children are also sacrificed for this country, we have to unite, we should be given our rights even in times of peace, the Form 47 government should stop the oppression and brutality against the political party, now by seeing the bench we can guess what the decision will be, our lawyers tell us, this system has been exposed, we will fight till the last ball, the world is watching and we will not throw down our weapons.
He said that we will not give up, the 26th Amendment must be abolished, it is harming the country, everything will be ruined.
