ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said that Kashmir is an unfinished agenda of partition and Pakistan and Kashmir are an inseparable.
“While we wish peace and stability in the region, we want Kashmir’s just resolution in the light of UN resolution and as per aspirations of Kashmiris to bring lasting peace in the region” the Army Chief while addressing the participants of a course at National Defence University here on Wednesday.
The COAS said our noteworthy achievements in operation Zarb-e-Azb have created a space for a decisive surge against terrorists in Urban areas and an enhanced civil – military coordination has become even more critical to achieve a successful closure.
The COAS said, “The contours of future war are fast changing. While our enemies are supporting terrorism to stoke sub conventional conflicts and destabilize our country, we are fully determined and capable of defeating their nefarious designs.
General Raheel Sharif said Pakistan is opposed to using proxies against other countries and will not allow any other country also to use proxies against Pakistan.
Earlier on arrival NDU, COAS was received by Lieutenant General Anwar Ali Haider, President NDU.
