ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army won Quaid-i-Azam Archery Championship organized by Islamabad Archery Club at Pakistan Sports Complex here.
Director General, Pakistan Sports Board, Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony and awarded the medals & certificate to the players. Secretary General, Pakistan Archery Federation, Wasal Muhammad Khan, Chairman, Organizing Committee, Manzar Shah, Dy DG, PSB, Shahid Salam and Agha Amjadullah and a large number of peoples were also present on the occasion.
In the men competitions 70 meter shooting range, Sajad Ahmed (Pakistan Army) got 1st position while Abdul Rehman (Pakistan WAPDA) and Tayyab (Pakistan Army) obtained 2nd and 3rd position respectively. Women 70 metre range: Pakistan Army Kanza and Nabeela got 1st and 2nd position respectively while Pakistan Wapda Sara Shahzad secured 3rd position. In the women event 50 metre Ambar Hameed got 1st position while Sara Khan (KPK) and Neelum obtained 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
In the Blind women event, Sadia, Momoona and Rimsha got 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. 60 men and women players took part in the championship from Army, Police, WAPDA, Punjab, KPK and Islamabad. NNI
