Pak Army dispatches 2 trucks of relief goods for IDPs

MULTAN (NNI): Pakistan Army dispatched two trucks laden with relief goods from Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan Agency (NWA) staying in Bannu on Wednesday.


Pakistan Army had established camp at Askari Lake Park in Chamanzar area of Multan to collect the relief goods for displaced people of NWA who were forced to leave their native areas due to ongoing military operation against militants.


Two trucks carrying food items, medicines, clothes and other daily use commodities were dispatched for IDPs staying in Bannu.

Speaking on the occasion Commander Logistic, Brigadier Liaquat Ali said that it is moral duty of every countryman to donate relief items generously for their brethren who sacrificed for the country.

Meanwhile, Fifty five IDPs families comprising 360 individuals have returned to Kurram Agency from Afghanistan.

These families had gone to Afghanistan after the start of operation against terrorists in North Waziristan Agency.

According to official sources these families have been registered at Ali Zai area of Kurram Agency where they are being provided all necessary facilities.

Meanwhile, 23 families comprising 145 individuals belonging to Edak area of North Waziristan Agency have also been registered as fresh IDPs at Sadigai registration point in FR Bannu.
