PAF will always come up to the nation’s expectations: Air Chief

Says force will follow footsteps of its heroes

KARACHI (NNI): Aviation Paintings and Aircraft Models Exhibition is continuing at PAF Museum Faisal.

A large number of aviation enthusiasts, Arts schools, colleges’ students and people from all walks of life visited the exhibition and due to their exuberance and keen interest the exhibition has been extended for another one weak.

Earlier during the inauguration ceremony Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, PAF said that “Indeed the sacrifices rendered by the defence personnel, and recorded in writing have an impact, but with the artistic flair of internationally renowned Aviation artist, Group Capt Hussaini, the glorious moments, depicting the illustrious men of the Pakistan Air Force in action, in the air, have become alive and very absorbing. “

While talking to the media, Air Chief said that objective of such exhibition is to recall the history, because the nations who forget their history, they face lot of problems in their way forward, and especially the nation like us who is having tremendous past. Without any collateral damage in all these operation, PAF effectively targeted and eliminated internal and external terrorists.

Air Chief said that by the grace of Allah and prayers of the nation, PAF will maintain its historical traditions and will follow the footsteps of its heroes. He further reiterated that PAF will always come up to the expectations of the nation.”

PAF since its inception in 1947 has taken part in many wars PAF maintained its glorious traditions inland and abroad.  He further said that in operations on western border PAF conducted all operations with same traditional glory.

 

About 200 paintings of Group Captain (Retd) Syed Masood Akhtar Hussaini are on display depicting respective era where PAF was transforming into a modern Air Force. Gp Capt Hussaini’s paintings have been put on exhibition in USA, UK, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Jordan.

Qatar defeated Pakistan in a thrilling match in the quarter finals of volleyball at the ongoing Asian Games in China. World No. 51 Pakistan faced World No. 17 Qatar in the Asian Games volleyball quarterfinals. Pakistan played a brilliant game against Qatar from the first set.
