ISLAMABAD: The opposition leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the opposition will not show any flexibility over Panama leaks hence the government has to give justification.

Talking to the media persons after their meeting with Ishaq Dar, he said that during his cordial meeting with Ishaq Dar the names of members of election commission were also discussed for deployment. However I will deliver these names to the government after consensus with the opposition members, he added.

Syed Khursheed Shah said that this was his initial meeting with Ishaq Dar but another meeting will be held on Friday. He also said that he is looking forward to the meeting to find a result on this matter. In a question asked during the press conference regarding their discussion over the panama leaks, Khusrsheed Shah said that this controversy will be discussed later however the opposition is reluctant to display any kind of flexibility about Panama papers.

During the joint press conference held after their meeting Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar also expressed his views and said that the names of members of election commission were taken under advisement.

“According to amendment 22, the authorities have time until July 25 to announce the names of the members of election commission. It is likely that the opposition will shortlist the names of the candidates after consensus before deadline”, he said. We have joined hands with the opposition in an attempt o solve the maters and send the final names of government and opposition members to the parliamentary committee.

Ishaq Dar also said that during their meeting Khursheed Shah also enquired the health of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to which he replied that by the grace of Allah, the Prime Minister has recovered a lot after his open heart surgery.
