ISLAMABAD: The senior leadership of opposition parties on Tuesday agreed over a four-point agenda for joint meeting over Panama leaks issue to be held on May 02.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), leader Khursheed Shah and Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi telephoned chief of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Siraj-ul-Haq and discussed new Terms of Reference (TORs) of the investigation commission formed to probe into the Panama Leaks.
PPP, PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) have agreed on some points regarding Terms of Reference (TORs) of the investigation commission formed to probe into the Panama Leaks.
The parties would present their suggestions for TORs in scheduled joint session on May 02.
Opposition has mutually accepted to authorize the judicial commission according to new law as the parties think that commission would be inefficient if it will follow 1956 Act.
Leaders further accepted to issue presidential ordinance first and then form legislature.
They have also shown unity over commission’s decision to investigate Panama leaks from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s family and then from other 250 Pakistanis.
On the occasion, Siraj-ul-Haq pledged to do everything to take the national assets back to country.
