KOHAT: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Friday assured to bring real change in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and said the opposition is afraid of seeing Pakistan on the path to progress because it would render their politics irrelevant.

Addressing a big public meeting in Kohat, the Prime Minister said Pakistan is headed to become a developed country which has made the opposition feel insecure about 2018 elections.

Vowing to bring change in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Prime Minister announced provision of gas to Kohat and adjoining towns costing Rs 3.9 billion, construction of a state of the art hospital in Kohat, a women’s campus in Kohat University. He added that the government is starting a rail car service from Rawalpindi to Kohat and will soon connect Kohat to the Motorway. He announced another gift for the people of Kohat and said Kohat-Jand, Pindi Gheb modern highway will be constructed.

‘This is not a small project, has anyone done this for Kohat before? Who has spoken about gas for Kohat before – the project is being launched today,’ the premier said.

He said soon PM’s National Health Programme will be launched in Kohat under which the poor segment of the society will get free of cost medical treatment and they would not need to travel to other cities for treatment.

The PM also reiterated his promise to end loadshedding across the country by 2018.

Taking aim at PTI’s rhetoric for ‘change’ the PMremarked that had there been development in the KPK province, there wouldn’t be such a huge crowd at this rally.

‘We will bring change to this province. People know that no work has been done in KPK in the past three years,’ the PM said, adding that PML-N would win the 2018 elections and would govern the KPK in 2018. He assured the people that Pakistan will soon become a prosperous country as a result of development projects being implemented by the Government. INP
