ISLAMABAD (DNA): Managing Director Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Mr. Habib ur Rehman Khan said Thursday that OPF has facilitated 1199 stranded overseas Pakistanis, who arrived at Lahore airport by four flights so for from Libya.
Talking to a delegation of overseas Pakistanis here, he said that OPF has facilitated these 1199 overseas Pakistanis at Lahore airport on their arrival from Libya by PIA as well as other charted flights to their native towns. He said that OPF Airport Facilitation Counter has been strengthened with additional officers and staff to provide special handling to stranded overseas Pakistanis arriving from Libya by different flights.
Habib ur Rehman Khan informed that earlier OPF had also extended special handling to 1864 stranded overseas Pakistanis on the occasion of fall of Qadafi regime in 2011 who were provided assistance at various airports in the country for their transportation to their native towns and villages.
He further said that OPF always step forward to help Pakistani expatriates at the time of their need and in case of any natural calamity or any other disturbance, OPF played its due role to help Pakistani diaspora. He said that OPF will never let them alone in this difficult time and they would be helped by utilizing all resources.
