RAJANPUR: One robber was killed while his five accomplices managed to escape after exchange of fire with police here on Friday.
The encounter took place in Harrand locality of Rajanpur where police came across a gang of robbers which led to heavy exchange firing. Police have claimed that the six-member gang had come to kidnap a trader but timely action of police foiled the bid.
The robber killed in fire exchange was wanted by police in several cases of murder, attempt murder, kidnapping, robberies and other crimes.
