FAISALABAD (INP): The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) has demanded at least one month extension in the dates of filing of Annual Income Tax and Monthly Sales Tax Returns.
In a statement issued here Wednesday, Engr. Suhail Bin Rashid, President, FCCI said that the due dates of filing Annual Income Tax Return is Sept 30, 2014. Similarly the already notified date to file Sales Tax Return is Sept., 15, 2014.
He said that every one knows that businesses are under stress due to recent floods coupled with the negative impacts of continuous protestations in Islamabad.
“A large” number of Industrialists and Businessmen are also in Saudi Arabia to perform “Hajj”, he said and added that in these circumstances business community is unable to file their Income Tax and Sales Tax Returns in time. Hence, Govt. should immediately extend one month for filing of Income Tax and Sales Tax Returns.
